These live edge wood and resin glow table DIY plans provide detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to make a resin and wood ocean glow table.
Wood and Resin Glow Table Features
First, this live edge glow table resembles the Emerald Coast water color with additional unique features.
The live edge river table top has cypress wood with a light tone and rests on custom made hairpin legs. Furthermore, the cypress wood leads down to an epoxy resin river that runs through the length of the table.
The bottom epoxy resin layer of the river table contains green phosphorescent pigment (glow powder) followed by a layer of sand and sand dollars.
Moreover, Phosphorescent pigment powder shines through the sand and sand dollars with a subtle glow, which resembles the beauty of the Destin, Florida beaches.
In addition, Natural light or an ultraviolet black light charges the phosphorescent pigment. Also, the resin glow table can glow for up to 12 hours.
LED ultraviolet black light strip below the river charges the glow powder if there is no natural light. Also, the LED UV black lights can also be activated to provide a brighter glow.
The top epoxy layers are tinted with translucent blue dye and this, combined with the green phosphorescent pigment powder, creates a color closely resembling the Emerald Coast.
Lastly, this wood and resin glow table has a smooth, matte finish for a natural look.
